President of the International Tennis Federation will visit Ashgabat during the Davis Cup stage
Representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the Tennis Federation, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an online meeting with President of the International Tennis Federation, member of the International Olympic Committee David Haggerty on Wednesday.
The parties discussed the organization of one of the zonal stages of the International Tennis Tournament for the Davis Cup in Ashgabat, as well as the visit of David Haggerty to Turkmenistan as part of the tournament.
Steps were outlined for the preparation and implementation of the Work Plan for cooperation between the Turkmen line organizations and the International Tennis Federation in order to popularize tennis among the population, train professional tennis players in the country.
