Argentina and Brazil started with victories in the selection for the World Cup 2022
Qualification for the World Cup has started in South America. 10 teams take part in the qualifying tournament, the competitions are held in a circular format, each team will play 18 matches.
Four national teams will go directly to the finals of the World Cup. The fifth team will take part in the intercontinental play-offs. The World Championship will be held in Qatar from November 21st to December 18th, 2022.
Argentina and Uruguay started with minimal victories, the only goal in the match between Argentina and Ecuador was scored by Lionel Messi. The victory over Chile brought the goals of Luis Suarez and Maxi Gomez to the Uruguayans.
Brazilian footballers defeated Bolivia with a score of 5: 0. Marquinhos and Philippe Coutinho scored a goal, Roberto Firmino scored a double, and in the 66th minute Bolivia defender Jose Carrasco sent the ball into his own net.
