Following the high-level Turkmen-Kazakh negotiations, documents on cooperation were signed
Today, following the negotiations held in Ashgabat between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a package of documents was signed.
The heads of state signed the Declaration on Strengthening Friendship and Deepening the Multifaceted Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the presence of the heads of state, 20 documents were signed, including the Comprehensive Program for Strengthening Friendship and Deepening the Multifaceted Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025-2027.
At the government level of the two countries, the Agreement on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments; Agreement on Cooperation in Combating Crime; Agreement on Strategic Cooperation in Transport, Logistics and Transit were signed. The list of documents also includes the Protocol on Amendments and Supplements to the Agreement between the Governments on International Automobile Transport of Passengers and Goods dated February 27, 1997.
At the level of departments of the transport and communications sector, Memorandums of Understanding were signed: between the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan; between aviation administrations; between the Agency "Turkmen Aragatnashyk" and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan - on the further development of cooperation in the field of digitalization and information technology.
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by JSC "Sea Merchant Fleet" and JSC "NC "Aktau Sea Trade Port". Turkmenpost and Kazpost signed an Agreement on the delivery of international postal items.
An agreement on the development of cooperation in the gas industry was concluded between the State Concern Turkmengaz and the company QazaqGaz. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Concern Turkmennebit and the company KazMunayGas.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Documents on cooperation in the fields of sports, tourism, financial market development, quarantine and plant protection, media, and archival affairs were also signed.
In addition, a Cooperation Plan was adopted between the administrations of the Balkan region and the Mangistau region in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres for 2025.
