“Heavenly” horses arrived in Ashgabat with a victory
Once again, the Turkmen “paradise” horses that flew on the Boeing from St. Petersburg to Ashgabat became crowned owners of the main prize of the First International Festival of Circus Art “On Fontanka”. Collection of united team of the members of national equestrian games group Galkynysh (Revival) and Turkmen Horse Riders Group “Turkmen Dzigits”, replenished with another major prize of the festival – Golden Gaetano.
In the last several years, Turkmen horse riders performed at contests and festivals in different countries and won many awards in various nominations, about which were informed repeatedly in media. Among them: the main prize of the professional jury of the Moscow festival – Golden Idol Cup; Special prize of the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo and Diploma for performance skills from the Circus Arts Center in Verona, Italy, the Golden Cup of the Festival in China, the Grand Prix of the Festival in Italian Latina, etc.
Thousands of Ashgabat citizens gathered along the road from the capital’s airport greeting the winners of International circus festival who riding the horse and followed by the participants of the event moved toward the State circus by the avenues of the capital. Numerous musicians gave celebration atmosphere to the participants; everything was just like Turkmen celebration. Certainly, the horse riders performances also took place.
Trembling love, with which the Turkmen treat their four-footed “family members” (here, horses are considered like that) has long become a talk of the town.
President Berdimuhamedov devotes his scientific and literary works to the beauty of legendary sky horses, which are elegant and impetuous as the Karakum wind. A specialized state association that in charge with many tasks on horse breeding, including the preservation of the purity of the Akhal-Teke breed, is founded many years ago. The national holiday in honor of the horse has been legislatively approved and is widely celebrated, horse breeding complexes and training centers have been established in all regions and the capital, where ancient national traditions, coupled with modern scientific developments, ensure the stability of the unique breed and, in general, the development of the entire industry.
The National Equestrian Games Group Galkynysh was founded by the initiative of Berdimuhamedov as soon as he became the Head of the State about ten years ago.
Every victory is dear to those who are struggling for the right to possess it. However, we believe that the main victories of the Turkmen horse riders and their legendary Akhal-Teke horses are yet to come! Moreover, the flying green flag of Turkmenistan will be shown many times at festivals in many countries of the world as well as in their historical homeland – in the country that has raised such horses unrivaled in beauty and swiftness.
