Elected OCA Vice-President for the Central Asia Region

The 44th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is underway in New Delhi. The 44th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is underway in New Delhi. As part of this assembly, elections were held for the leadership positions of the Organisation.

In the election, Raja Randhir Singh, the interim President of the OCA, was elected as the President of the OCA. Vice Presidents for five regions were also elected.

Otabek Umarov was elected as Vice President of the Organization for the Central Asian Region, which includes Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Previously, Umarov served as Vice President for the Tashkent 2025 Asian Youth Games. Now he will be responsible for the development of Olympism in Central Asian countries.

Otabek Umarov stated that he will justify the trust placed in him and make every effort to promote the pure and noble ideas of Olympism more widely in the region, according to the OCA website.
