According to world media reports, film production was resumed throughout New Zealand - practically all restrictions after the incidence of COVID-19 fell to almost zero. Sources say that Amazon's Lord of the Rings has already started filming after a half-year hiatus. Preparations have been made to return to the site for the last two months, but work has begun only now. It looks like the entire film crew of eight hundred people has already returned to the country. Before the production of the series on the fantasy universe of John Tolkien was suspended, the authors of the show almost managed to shoot the first two episodes - they were directed by Jurassic World 2 director Juan Antonio Bayona. The forced break due to the pandemic almost coincided with the break that was originally planned in the studio - this time was devoted to working on the scripts for the second season of “The Lord of the Rings”. In addition, it became known that the filming of “Cowboy Bebop” from Netflix is scheduled to begin on September 30 - it will also take place in New Zealand. The series, based on the anime of the same name, was postponed last October due to the injury of John Cho, who will star in the TV adaptation. The break was supposed to last 7-9 months, but was delayed due to quarantine. Permission to shoot movies and TV shows in New Zealand was given back in July, but then not everyone returned to work on the sites.
