Turkmenistan advocates for Afghanistan's involvement in economic integration processes

A meeting of the Turkmen and Afghan delegations was held in Ashgabat on Friday, August 30. The Afghan side was headed by Acting Minister of Mining and Oil Hedayatullah Badri. The Turkmen delegation included Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of various departments.

The parties discussed current issues of partnership in key sectors of the economy. During the talks, Turkmenistan's active position on involving Afghanistan in economic integration processes through the implementation of international projects was confirmed.

Following the meeting, the parties signed bilateral documents aimed at the practical implementation of joint projects in the energy and transport sectors, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

The program of the Afghan delegation's stay in Ashgabat also included separate meetings and negotiations with the leadership of the oil and gas sector, the construction and industrial complex and the transport sector.
