The Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan visited Kazan Federal University


The Turkmen delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Education for Higher and Secondary Special Educational Institutions, Azat Atayev visited Kazan Federal University.
On behalf of Kazan University, the meeting was attended by First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Scientific Activities, Dmitry Tayursky and Director of the Department of External Relations, Olga Vershinina from Kazan University.
Tayursky spoke about the structure of Kazan University, as well as about five strategic projects that the university is implementing within the framework of the strategic academic leadership program “Priority-2030”.
Vershinina provided information on Kazan Federal University’s cooperation with Turkmenistan. She also stated that more than 4000 representatives of our country are studying at the university, emphasizing that almost a third of international students at KFU are citizens of Turkmenistan. The director of the department noted that the university cooperates with four universities in Turkmenistan, the closest partnership with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Azat Atayev expressed gratitude to the administration of Kazan University for training highly qualified specialists and for the support the university provides to Turkmen students.
The Deputy Minister of Education expressed interest in collaborating with Kazan University within the framework of its priority areas of development and proposed to hold thematic online meetings with Turkmen universities to facilitate scientific interaction.
In addition, Azat Atayev proposed jointly training specialists, including in the field of materials design, who would receive double diplomas - from the Turkmen university and KFU.
