Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Uzbekistan discuss cooperation
A telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the conversation, which took place on Tuesday, 27 August, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are strengthening, as well as discussed the state and prospects of interstate cooperation in trade-economic and fuel-energy spheres. At the same time, the emphasis was placed on the importance of fully utilizing the transport and transit potential of the two countries, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reported.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted that the partnership between the two states has reached a qualitatively new level and conveyed to the Uzbek leader a greeting from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the kind words, the leader of the friendly country, in turn, conveyed his best wishes to the head of Turkmenistan.
In continuation of the telephone conversation, the sides discussed issues related to the implementation of previously reached agreements and the possibility of implementing joint projects, the information reported.
