Tatneft is studying the prospects for producing medical polypropylene in Turkmenistan


The issue of producing medical polypropylene in Turkmenistan, as well as the formation of a medical cluster in the city of Arkadag for the production of saline solutions and medicines was raised at a meeting of the Turkmen-Tatarstan working group on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, which was held on Tuesday, August 27, in Kazan.
Director of the Tatneft branch in Turkmenistan, Ildar Burganov, spoke on this topic, noting that the company is studying the possibilities of producing medical polypropylene at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as the possibility of participating in the creation of a production facility in the city of Arkadag for saline solutions and medicines from local raw materials that can fully replace imported ones.
Burganov also noted that by the end of the year, the Tatneft branch in Turkmenistan plans to exceed the mark of 800 thousand tons of oil production at the Goturdepe field.
