Turkmenistan attended in a forum of educational policymakers in Singapore
O. Berdiyev, senior researcher of the National Institute of Education, took part in the international seminar on the programme “Education Transformation for Education Policymakers: The Singapore Experience” on behalf of Turkmenistan during his visit to the Southeast Asian city-state from 19 to 23 August.

According to O. Berdiyev, the international seminar programme was very informative. The participants learned about the experiences of experts in addressing the unique challenges faced by the education system of Singapore, as well as the reforms implemented in this country to ensure effective outcomes aimed at the formation of competencies of students and providing them with the conditions for further success in school.
Current trends in education, a comprehensive approach to the management of Singapore's education system, policy and practice innovations aimed at improving the quality of teaching and fostering leadership in Singapore schools were analyzed.
The training included an exchange of experience, visits to educational institutions, and group assignments. The lecturers' presentations were very detailed and productive discussions were held. At the end of the seminar, the participants were awarded international certificates.
Singapore's education system has achieved a high level of efficiency and global recognition, it is compact and well integrated into the structure of the economy. Singaporean students consistently perform well in international knowledge tests.
The primary goal of the current phase of educational development in Singapore is to create a stimulating environment that motivates every individual to engage in lifelong learning, acquire new knowledge and skills, master technologies, and foster a spirit of innovation.
