Ashgabat hosted talks with the head of the National Logistics Corporation of Pakistan


Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Director General of the National Logistics Corporation of Pakistan Farrukh Shahzad Rao.
During the meeting, which took place on Friday, August 23, in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted that the time-tested Turkmen-Pakistani relations have great potential for development. In particular, economic issues were discussed, with an emphasis on establishing partnership in the transport and logistics sector.
Taking into account the proactive transport policy of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the development of international transport and transit corridors, including increasing the volume of transit cargo, simplifying customs procedures, and using port infrastructure for better economic integration of countries throughout the region, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

On the eve, on August 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed prospects for cooperation with the president and chief engineer of the largest Pakistani company FWO.
