Apple ID accounts will be renamed in September.

So, with the release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, they will be called Apple Account. Similar labeling will apply to all Apple products and services.

There are no other functional changes expected for Apple accounts. It will still act as a single account that is used to sign in to various Apple services, including the App Store, iCloud, Apple Online Store, FaceTime and many more.

It contains login, contact, payment, and security information used to operate all Apple services.
