Portal of movement into childhood activated in Ashgabat until 22 August: impressions of guests
The international universal exhibition-fair “Kids Expo: Everything for Children” has become a significant event in the urban life of the Turkmen capital. On the first day, it attracted a large number of visitors, including the youngest ones. Ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations took part in the opening ceremony of the four-day marathon (the exhibition is accompanied by a program of various entertainments for children).
Among the distinguished guests was the Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Peksa. She shared her impressions with us:
-I am very happy to join such a wonderful holiday, getting acquainted with the exhibition was very exciting. We can say that this is one of the brightest events of the school summer holidays. Since the school year will start very soon, it is a unique opportunity for parents and their children to choose from a huge variety of products that they will like and buy everything they need before school in one place. I would also like to congratulate all the children of Turkmenistan on the beginning of the school year and wish them great success and a bright future!
In fact, this exhibition-fair is not only a demonstration of children's goods and services, but also a platform for fun games and educational activities, which makes the “return” to school a bit magical for the younger pupils and not at all tiring for parents. This is evident from the photos…
Our next interviewee is the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok. An ORIENT correspondent spoke with him during the fashion show of the children's collection "Oguzlar" by the brand "Goç Ýigit"."
-First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the invitation to participate in such a solemn and joyful event. “Everything for children!” The name of the exhibition has a deep meaning. Looking at all the pavilions, one realizes that in our friendly and fraternal country, all conditions have been created for the education and comprehensive development of the younger generation. This is indeed a reason to be proud. After all, children are our future. They deserve the very best!
The audience of the exhibition was impressed by the performance of the famous poet Hemra Shirov, who spoke about the important role of books for the formation of personality. "In our time, there were not so many books around, and we used to find some books with difficulty. Now there are countless books,” the poet added and called on children to love books and parents to encourage their children to read from an early age.
Healthy nutrition is also one of the main factors in child development. This topic was addressed in her speech by Irina Slastina, a representative of the “Vertera” company, whose trading office has recently opened in Ashgabat. Irina's recommendations and useful tips on healthy nutrition for mother and child generated great interest among the audience. In an interview with ORIENT she said:
-We are pleased to present our eco-friendly products at this exhibition. We believe that our proposals will arouse significant interest in your country. I am very grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to represent our company and participate in this wonderful festival of childhood on such a wonderful day.
Indeed, in the cheerful atmosphere of the exhibition it is impossible not to plunge mentally into that carefree time when we were children ourselves. And it was felt here by every adult, which could be guessed by their faces. Watching the kids having fun, they felt like a child for a moment. Yes, everything was here, except for the possibility of becoming a child again....
The exhibition also features the American Centre at the US Embassy, which has been operating in our country for many years. And its pavilion is full of people. A representative of the center spoke about its activities and noted that every year the number of young people interested in the programs, activities and resources of the American Centre is growing.
Our youngest interlocutor was Taryk Ataev, a 4th grade student from Ashgabat. When we asked his father for permission to ask the boy a question, Taryk took us by the hands and led us to the Football Federation pavilion. This was the place he chose for the reportage photo.
-Today I came here with my dad and I want to come again. There are so many interesting things here. I have played a lot of games here with my friends. I like playing football, shared Taryk.
After these words, he took the ball and unexpectedly shouted: “Kids Expo! Turkmen football is super!”. Well, perhaps, in the future Taryk will become a football player....
The events organized at the exhibition for children pleased their parents who try to support their child's hobbies and interests. It is gratifying to see how their eyes sparkle, their faces shine with smiles and their voices ring out.
