Student of IUHD honored with UNESCO international model award for the best AI idea


Students from 52 countries participated in the third UNESCO international model “Ethics of using Artificial Intelligence in Education” from 12 to 14 August in Almaty.
The work of Abdyleziz Saryyev, from Turkmenistan, a student of the Faculty of International Law and International Relations at the International University for the Humanities and Development, was selected as the winner in the “Best Idea and Approach” category.
The participants made detailed presentations on activities in the field of artificial intelligence in their countries. Initiatives for implementation at various levels in the field of AI were also presented. Based on the results of voting, the resolutions of the participants from Turkmenistan, Egypt and Hong Kong were selected as the best proposals.

The UNESCO model included two sessions where strategic proposals were presented, question and answer sessions, voting on resolutions, online webinars with experts from UNESCO and other organizations. The final session demonstrated the development of the resolution and awarded prizes for “Best Idea and Approach”, “Best Speaker” and “Best Presentation”.
The Third International Model UNESCO is an educational event in which participants act as representatives of UNESCO Member States, simulating meetings held within the Organization. Students participating in this model learn about the work and goals of UNESCO. They gain an understanding of international issues and become familiar with UNESCO's key priorities.
