Turkmen students won 14 medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Bulgaria
Students of Turkmen universities successfully performed at the 31st International Mathematical Olympiad in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, winning 14 medals - 3 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze. Besides, 8 more participants of our team were awarded with encouraging diplomas.
More than 400 representatives from 78 universities in 59 countries participated in the International Mathematical Competition for University Students, which took place from August 5 to 11.
Students from the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seidi and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan represented our country at the IMC - 2024, one of the most prestigious mathematical competitions in the world.
This year, Turkmen students significantly improved their result from IMC - 2023, then they were honored with 8 awards.
