Turkmen ambassador to Belgium, who also represents the country's interests in the Netherlands, Sapar Palvanov, met with Mohammad Reza Mashadi, managing director of the authoritative international organization East-West Trade, which assists Dutch companies in developing trade and international business in the agricultural sector. The meeting was also attended by former Dutch ambassador to Kazakhstan, Peter van Leeuwen, who is currently a consultant for this organization. During the meeting, Mohammad Reza Mashadi emphasized the success of the Turkmen agricultural mission in Amsterdam and a separate forum on the Turkmen market held in June of this year.

He noted that the number of Dutch companies interested in exploring the Turkmen market is currently increasing. This surge in interest is a direct response to the aforementioned Turkmen mission, which included the participation of representatives of the private sector and the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan. According to Mohammad Reza, Dutch companies are particularly interested in cooperation in areas such as green greenhouses, clean technologies and grain crops.

The preliminary program of the mission includes organizing meetings with the private sector and government agencies of Turkmenistan responsible for the agricultural sector, holding a forum, various presentations, giving lectures at universities and visiting relevant sites.

This initiative arose after the successful Turkmen agricultural mission to Amsterdam, which provided Turkmen entrepreneurs with unique opportunities to study advanced technologies in agriculture. The main topics of discussion were water-saving technologies and reducing methane emissions, which is especially relevant in light of climate change and Turkmenistan's international commitments to reduce its ecological footprint.

Turkmenistan and the Netherlands have many opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas, among which agriculture is especially relevant. The organization of such missions helps to strengthen bilateral relations and open new horizons for joint work in various areas, the embassy noted.
