From January 1, wages and state benefits will increase in Turkmenistan
During an extended government meeting following the results of the work of sectors of the Turkmen economy for six months of 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on increasing wages for employees of budget-financed institutions, self-supporting enterprises and public associations, pensions and state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees by 10% from January 1 next year.
The document prescribes establishing the minimum pension for participants of the Great Patriotic War in the amount of 2,280 manats per month, as well as for spouses of WWII participants and home front workers in the amount of 665 manats per month.
According to the Decree, the base value for determining the minimum size of pensions is set at 550 manats, and state benefits at 520 manats.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure an increase in wages by improving the structure of institutions, enterprises and organizations, increasing the efficiency of using production capacities and labor productivity, and using unused internal reserves.
