The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov published an article in one of the leading Arabic newspapers “Al Sharq”, dedicated to a new chapter in the history of relations between the two states.

A powerful impetus for the development of bilateral relations, according to Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, was given by the inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs political consultations that took place on June 3 in Doha. The Turkmen side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmed Gurbanov, the Qatari side was led by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraihi.
The parties discussed issues of trade and economic relations. In this regard, the importance of holding a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatar Commission on Trade and Economic Partnership was outlined.
The interlocutors also spoke in favor of promoting cultural and humanitarian partnership between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar.
At the end of his article, the ambassador expressed hope for further prosperity of relations between the two states as a result of the wise policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
