Payments using MasterCard cards were discussed in Ashgabat
From June 5 to 6, a seminar on financial transactions using MasterCard cards was held at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Participants listened to information about the clearing settlement system. Clearing is regular non-cash payments for goods and services between legal entities and individuals. In clearing, instead of cash payments, claims and obligations are offset.
The experts also introduced the billing system, which is an automated system for recording services provided, their pricing and issuing invoices for payment.
In addition, participants were presented with information about the role of Mastercard in the settlement process and its difference from other payment systems.
The knowledge gained in theory was reinforced with practical exercises on making calculations and converting currencies.
