Opportunity for young scientists from the CIS countries


The Gorchakov Foundation together with the Russian agency Rossotrudnichestvo, the Institute of World Economy and International Relations named after E. M. Primakov of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other leading institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences announces the start of accepting applications for the internship program in international relations for foreign specialists InteRussia.
Internship topic: “Polycentric world: new trends and risks”.
During the internship, participants will immerse themselves in the life of the Russian scientific community; visit government agencies; will take part in expert sessions at Russian scientific and analytical centers. They will also have the opportunity to work under the guidance of leading Russian international relations scholars from RAS institutes as part of the preparation of scientific research.
The internship will take place from September 29 to October 27, 2024 in Moscow.
Foreign specialists from 25 to 35 years old who meet the following requirements are allowed to participate in the competition:

having citizenship of Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and South Ossetia;

living outside the territory of Russia;
-
professionally fluent in Russian (at least level C1);

having an individual research plan on the chosen topic;

having an academic degree of Candidate of Sciences/Ph.D., or at least three years of work experience in a scientific organization/analytical center, or postgraduate studies;
Selection will be made on a competitive basis, based on the following criteria:

Academic level, relevance, degree of elaboration and feasibility of the research plan;

Availability of academic publications;
-
The nature of the recommendations received (2-3 pieces);

Other research and expert activities (participation in conferences, grants, internships, publications, comments in the media, etc.);

Interview results (online).
Interested candidates should register on the English version of the Gorchakov Foundation website. Go to the “My Projects” section, click the “Create Application” button, select the competition “InteRussia - International Relations - CIS Countries” and click the “Yes” button.
Then you should fill in all the required fields, in the “Submit an application” section, click on the “Submit application” button and wait until the status changes from “Preparation” to “Submitted”.
The application deadline is August 1, 2024.
The InteRussia internship program for foreign specialists was launched by the Gorchakov Foundation in 2021. Program partners – National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations named after E. M. Primakov of ghe RAS, Institute of the United States of America and Canada named after Academician G.A. Arbatov of the RAS, Institute of Europe of the RAS, Institute of Latin America of the RAS and Institute of African Studies of the RAS.
