The company xAI, owned by American businessman Elon Musk, intends to build its own computer to ensure the functionality of its AI bot Grok. The billionaire announced this during a recent meeting with investors.

The supercomputer is expected to be operational by next fall. The device will use Nvidia H100 accelerators, which dominate the market for data center chips used in AI.

Exactly how many accelerators the developers intend to use to create a new supercomputer has not yet been specified.

Elon Musk also said that as part of this project, xAI may collaborate with the American software developer Oracle.
