Matches of national teams come back. What is the tournament of the Nations League and what has this to do with World Championship -2022?
The new season of the UEFA Nations League starts on September 3, ORIENT offers its readers to familiarise with regulations of this football tournament in which the best European national teams will enter.
The winner of the last competition, we remind, was the Portuguese national team. The final match against the Netherlands came to the end with the score 1:0, the only goal was hammered by forward of Spanish "Valencia" Gonzalo Guedes.

In what format the Nations League is held?
As a whole 55 national teams are divided into four leagues according to places with which they have occupied in the previous draw of tournament and according to the rating of the European football union (UEFA).
In the League A national teams with the highest rating will play, in the League D - with the lowest. Each division has its own seeding. So, national teams receive opponents of equal level. At the final stage four winners of groups of the league A will come out and then the winner of tournament will be determined.
Through the Nations League it is possible to get into WC-2022?
Qualification of the World championship remains former. Winners of ten groups directly get to Qatar. Owners of three more permits will be defined by transitive matches.
In playoff matches all second places of selection groups will play, and also two best winners of groups of the Nations League from among those who has not made the way toWC-2022 directly or has not got to playoff.
When is qualification for the World championship -2022?
The toss-up is planned for November 29, but the date has not yet been definitively confirmed. Teams will be distributed into six baskets on the basis of FIFA rating for November, 2020.
It is preliminary known that the group stage will pass from March 25 to November 16, 2021. Directly to the World championship winners of groups will get only, and playoff matches are planned at the end of March, 2022.
