A conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy was held in Almaty
In the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held an international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy entitled "Magtymguly Pyragy – the genius of the word of Oriental literature". This is reported on the official website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ambassadors and Consuls General accredited in Kazakhstan, as well as Kazakhstani scientists studying the work of Magtymguly Pyragy, famous writers, philologists and philosophers.
In their speeches, the guests of the conference noted that it is necessary to continue to acquaint the general international community with the unique work of Magtymguly, which is important in studying the rich and priceless literary heritage of the poet-thinker, who entered the golden fund of world literature.
Within the framework of the conference, an exhibition of decorative, applied, fine and photographic art was launched.
Also on the book stands are the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan, including collections of poems by Magtymguly.
