The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan visited Balkan velayat
On May 13-14, 2024, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, visited Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan.
G. Gozelov met with Hakim of Balkan velayat, Hakim of Turkmenbashy City, the chairman of “Türkmendeňizderýaýollary” Agency, the head of the Turkmenbashy International Seaport and the director of "Balkan" shipbuilding and repairing yard concurrently visited the port and the shipyard.
The current situation and future perspectives were discussed during the meetings. The main role of the Port of Turkmenbashy in maritime transport between the two countries was discussed in the meetings additionally, the importance of the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor was also underlined.
Moreover, G. Gozelov met with citizens of Azerbaijan and compatriots living in Balkan velayat. The Ambassador put in words the significance and solicitude the state gives Azerbaijani citizens living abroad, listened to the advice and offers of compatriots, and exchanged mutual opinions.
