The new composition of the Russian government


After the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place on May 7, the previous government resigned.
Mikhail Mishustin, who was reappointed by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on May 10, has formed a new government.
Mishustin nominated five officials who were not previously part of it for positions in the new government: Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev may head the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, Governor of the Kemerovo Region of Kuzbass Sergei Tsivilev may become Minister of Energy. Kursk Governor Roman Starovoit was nominated to head the Ministry of Transport, and Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov was nominated to head the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut was proposed as a candidate for the post of Minister of Agriculture.
According to Russian media, most ministers will retain their posts. These are Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Internal Affairs Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, and Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief Minister Alexander Kurenkov.
Former First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov was proposed for the post of head of the Ministry of Defense. Sergei Shoigu, who previously headed the Russian Ministry of Defense, was appointed Secretary of the Security Council.
It was proposed to appoint the former head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov as First Deputy Prime Minister. In addition, the former head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, should become deputy prime minister.
