An event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan to mark the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gismet Gezalov and guests laid bouquets of flowers at the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the embassy building.
Speaking to the audience, the diplomat informed the guests in detail about the irreplaceable role of Heydar Aliyev in the formation of the modern statehood of Azerbaijan, his recognition in the international arena and the restoration of the economy.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Turkmenistan, public organizations, media and diplomats.
