Turkmenistan was represented at the International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry in Bukhara
Jeweler from Turkmenistan Govher Nuryeva and designer Jennet Garlyeva took part in the second International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry, which takes place in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
Govher Nuryeva introduced the festival guests to her jewelry, and Jennet Garlyeva presented her clothing collection to the public. The collection was made together with silk manufacturer from Uzbekistan Aziz Murtazaev.
The International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry is aimed at identifying talented craftsmen working in the field of gold embroidery and jewelry, preserving and restoring endangered, unique masterpieces of art.
157 artisans and guests from 42 foreign countries, as well as 280 artisans from all regions of Uzbekistan, arrived to participate in the festival.
Within the framework of the international festival, various exhibitions, musical and theatrical performances, and a scientific and practical conference on the topic “Prospects for the development of traditional gold embroidery and jewelry art” will be organized.
