Shanghai offers international transit passengers free city tour


Shanghai is offering passengers on international transit flights with transit times longer than eight hours a free half-day city tour. This was reported by the Shanghai Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism.
The program is launched by travel platform Trip.com Group, also known as Ctrip. It includes the provision of free transport, guides, Internet services, and foreign currency exchange.
In addition, the company offers additional discounts. For example, if you buy one souvenir product, you get another one for free. tourists can also take advantage of global sales on air tickets.
According to Ctrip Overseas Marketing Director Zhang Chengjie, the initiative is aimed at attracting more tourists to Shanghai.
To participate, passengers must select a suitable route based on their transit time at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. All three routes start and end at the airport and last no more than six hours.
Recommended routes:
First route (from 9:00 to 14:00): Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Yuyuan Garden - Embankment - Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Second route (from 16:00 to 22:00): Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Embankment - Wukang Road - Yuyuan Garden - Embankment - Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Third route (from 18:00 to 23:00): Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Huangpu River Cruise - Yuyuan Garden - Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
