Issues of interaction between Turkmenistan and FAO were discussed in Rome
At the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, there was held a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic, Toyly Komekov, and head of the FAO Human Resources Department, Serge Nakuzi.
Toyly Komekov highly appreciated the activities of the Organization and expressed Turkmenistan’s intention to develop effective cooperation with it, aimed at using the best world practices in the field of sustainable development of agriculture and ensuring food security.
A separate topic for discussion was the issue of internships for representatives of Turkmenistan in various areas of FAO, training qualified personnel in the field of agriculture, climate change, water resources management and combating desertification.
