UAE warns of second wave of rain

Stormy weather could hit parts of the country this week, according to forecasts from the United Arab Emirates' National Center of Meteorology.

Heavy rain is expected at times with lightning and thunderstorms. Wind speed will reach up to 65 km/h.

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has begun preparing for unexpected weather conditions.

A yellow alert has been issued for areas such as Dubai and Fujairah.

News of the expected rain comes as the UAE recovers from the heaviest downpour on record that hit the country on April 16.
