Belarus intends to create its own operating system, browser and office suite

Belarus intends to create a national operating system, its own web browser and a set of office programs. This is provided for by the plan to ensure the country’s digital sovereignty, Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic Konstantin Shulgan said.

For these purposes, cooperation with IT developers in Belarus will be established.

According to the minister, the development of Belarusian software is an important task, the solution of which will ensure independence from imports.
