Bronze medalist of the Central Asian Fitness Championship: on motivation and plans

Gulnara Begencheva, bronze medalist of the Central Asian Championship in bodybuilding and fitness (2019), has chosen a healthy and active lifestyle for a long time and for good.
“Since childhood, I have been drawn to sports,” she said in an interview with ORIENT. - At school I took part in various marathons, played basketball. And having visited the gym one day, I realized that I wanted to do fitness, be healthy and have a beautiful physique.
Regular and intense exercise has revolutionized her lifestyle, from her daily routine to her diet.
- I get up early and go to bed early. Sports will not be effective without a sleep schedule and proper nutrition with accurate counting of macronutrients - proteins, fats and carbohydrates, she shares. - It is important to build your daily routine in such a way that, in addition to intensive training, there is also time for recovery and rest.
Gulnara trains five days a week for several hours. And he prefers to spend his weekends in nature, especially in the mountains.
“Sometimes, instead of the usual cardio on the simulators, I can play basketball or run,” says Gulnara. - The main thing is to constantly maintain physical activity, and you will feel how your body will "breathe" in a different way.
Her relatives, whose support helped her on the chosen path, have also trained and continue to train according to her program. She prepared very hard for her first international competition - the Central Asian Championship in bodybuilding and fitness (Tashkent, 2018). Gulnara was the first girl from Turkmenistan to compete in the model-physicist discipline.
- Of course, “the first pancake is lumpy,” she recalls her debut. - I took only fifth place.
Then she ended up in the Ashgabat fitness club, where many experienced athletes who participated in international tournaments had already trained. As Gulnara herself said, “this was the second wave of her motivation for fitness.” Then she decided that she had to work even harder to show better results.
And in 2019, at the Central Asian Championship in Almaty, she took third place in the model-physicist discipline. Gulnara is not going to stop there - she plans to go through all the stages of preparation again and take the first step of the podium.
Last year, the athlete received a judicial qualification and was a judge at national competitions. In the future, she plans to educate her team of athletes, which will represent Turkmenistan at international competitions.
