The Ombudsman of Turkmenistan participates in an international seminar in Finland


An international event is taking place at the University of Helsinki in Finland aimed at enhancing the activities and sharing the experience of ombudsmen from Central Asian countries. The event, organized jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and the Center for the Rule of Law at the University of Helsinki, is attended by the Commissioner for Human Rights in Turkmenistan, Yazdursun Gurbannazarova, the Ombudsmen of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The main purpose of organizing a seminar for the Offices of the Ombudsmen of the Central Asian states, which takes place from April 15 to 19, is to develop international cooperation in the field of human rights, to study effective human rights practices.

The Ombudsmen of the Central Asian States made reports on important aspects of their activities and the results achieved.
During the seminar participants' stay in Finland, visits to the Finnish Parliament, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Supreme Administrative Court, the offices of the Prosecutor General and the Chancellor of Justice of this country are also provided.
