The implementation of the TAPI and TAP projects was discussed at the Foreign Ministry with the Ambassador of Pakistan


The new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ahsan Vahan, presented copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on Thursday, March 16.
The sides stressed that the Turkmen-Pakistani relations, based on the principles of mutual respect, mutual understanding and trust, are successfully developing in various fields, such as political, diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of cooperation, primarily in the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline project, as well as the project of laying power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) route.
The day before, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador of Pakistan Ahsan Vahan, who presented credentials to the head of state.
