The international essay contest announced by the IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs attracted the attention of students from Central Asian countries


More than 80 papers, about 30 of them from students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions of Central Asian countries, were submitted to the essay contest on the topic "The importance of international humanitarian law in maintaining peace and security on the planet", announced by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
In particular, applications for the essay competition were submitted from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Uzbek State University of World Economy and Diplomacy, K.Dikambayev Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The guys from Tajikistan showed special activity – they have the most applications for the competition from abroad, six universities decided to participate at once: Tajik National University, Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics, Sadriddin Aini Tajik State Pedagogical University, Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University, Khorog State University named after M.Nazarshoev and the Dangara State University.
More than fifty works were submitted to the competition by students of 14 Turkmen universities.
The best essays will be determined by a panel of independent judges representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, and the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan. The results of the competition will be published on May 1, 2024 on the Institute's website.
The award ceremony for the winners of the competition will be held on May 8, 2024 at the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The winners from the participating foreign countries will join the final round of the competition online.
