Ashgabat and Tashkent form a new partnership agenda

The formation of a new agenda for a multifaceted partnership between Ashgabat
and Tashkent in preparation for the upcoming summit meetings was given special

The formation of a new agenda for a multifaceted partnership between Ashgabat and Tashkent in preparation for the upcoming summit meetings was given special attention at the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Monday, March 15.

The minister, who is in Tashkent to participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, conveyed greetings and good wishes to the head of Uzbekistan from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Current issues in the development of bilateral relations of friendship, good neighborliness and in-depth strategic partnership were discussed. In particular, an increase in mutual trade turnover, which will be facilitated by the ongoing creation of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone was noted. Mutually beneficial cooperation continues in the field of industrial cooperation, energy, transport and logistics, and agro-industrial complex.

Cultural and humanitarian exchange is expanding. This year, a number of events will be held in Uzbekistan in connection with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the poet Magtymguly Fragi.

An exchange of views on current issues of the regional and international agenda also took place, according to the website of the President of Uzbekistan.
