“Tonight, we are bringing three dazzling performing artists from the far North West of the United States--from Alaska—the Pipeline Vocal Project,” said Ambassador Klimow as he opened the concert. “Many of the songs that they will perform are those that you know well—but they have some surprises for you! They will also celebrate the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly on the 300th anniversary of his birth”.

The joint concerts, which filled theatres in both Ashgabat and Dashoguz, complement the many years of active cultural cooperation between the two countries. Through this collaboration, audiences in Turkmenistan and the United States have had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of music, theater, visual and other arts, and American and Turkmen artists have enriched their craft through mutual exchange.
