years, the Republic of Korea and Laos have become members. Today,
representatives of more than 20 countries are present here in Ashgabat, and I hope
that new affiliated enterprises will be accepted at this meeting, which are also part

In an interview with ORIENT, Antonovich also noted the great importance of the first investment forum on sustainable transport EU-Central Asia (Global Gateway) held in Brussels, where Turkmenistan presented its transport and transit potential, especially such an important hub as the Turkmenbashi seaport.

— I think that strengthening the transit role of Turkmenistan, as a strategic line on the Silk Road is very important for our Organization, including from the point of view of the development of the Middle Corridor. We are also starting negotiations with other Eurasian countries so that they not only join us as enterprises, but also become full members.

As for the key goals, facing the structure today in general and on the agenda of the Ashgabat meeting in particular, the Chairman of ORC called the development of railway transport as the most environmentally friendly mode of transport in the world at present.

Indeed, experts all over the world agree that railways are the most "green" mode of transport. According to statistics, less than 1% of 31% of transport-related emissions into the atmosphere are accounted for by rail transport.
