Turkmenistan and China discussed improving the Authorized Economic Operator program
Discussion of improving the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program was the main purpose of the visit of representatives of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan.
During the visit, the delegation from the Celestial Empire met with the leadership of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, signed in Beijing on October 19, 2023. They highly appreciated Turkmenistan's efforts to effectively implement the AEO institution.
Representatives of the Chinese customs structure also held a seminar for their colleagues from Turkmenistan. They shared their experience in implementing the Authorized Economic Operator program.
Foreign guests were also familiarized with the structure of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, and a tour of the customs house of the city of Arkadag was organized.
