New Angolan Ambassador to arrive in Ashgabat
The Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Russian Federation, Augusto da Silva Cunha, who was also appointed to Turkmenistan, said during a meeting with the Turkmen ambassador in Moscow that he would visit Ashgabat next week, April 16-17, to present his credentials.
During the conversation, the diplomats exchanged views on the progress of bilateral cooperation, touched upon issues related to the intensification of political and diplomatic cooperation and the development of cooperation, especially in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation reports.
The parties noted the high level of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries in the international arena, primarily at the United Nations, an example of which was the support for the adoption on December 21, 2023 of the UN resolution on transport "Strengthening ties between all modes of transport to achieve Sustainable Development Goals" proposed by Turkmenistan.
During the day, Angolan Ambassador to Russia Augusto da Silva Cunha took part in an international conference dedicated to the contribution of Magtymguly Pyragy to world literature in Moscow, where he read a poem by the Turkmen poet in Portuguese.
