On the eve of the 79th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan is launching a series of publications about the heroic natives of the Turkmen land who immortalized their name in battles with the Nazi invaders.
"We appeal to all residents of Turkmenistan. Share your family stories about glorious relatives who went through the war. Send their biographies and photos by e-mail: rusemb-ashkhabad@mid.ru . From now on, their memory will be perpetuated, including on the Embassy's website, as well as on our social networks," the diplomatic mission's website says.
