The photo exhibition "Space Odyssey" by cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko has opened in Moscow

The exhibition of photographs of the commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut detachment Oleg Kononenko "Space Odyssey" opened on Tverskoy Boulevard in Moscow.
The exposition includes 64 photographs taken by the cosmonaut during the expeditions. The opening of the exhibition is timed to coincide with Cosmonautics Day - April 12. The exhibition will continue to work until June 1. This is reported by TASS.

"All my space expeditions, and especially this one, which takes place at such a sensitive time for our country, have once again convinced me that the beauty and fragility of the planet should be preserved in any way. And art, in this case, photography, is one of the ways that you definitely need to go to achieve this goal," said Kononenko, who is now on his fifth career space flight.
On February 4, Kononenko surpassed the achievement of Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka, who spent a total of 878 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes, 48 seconds in space during five missions (from 1998 to 2015).

The commander of the cosmonaut squad is now making his fifth space flight in his career. It is expected that on June 5, at 00:00:20 Moscow time, he will become the first person to spend 1 thousand days in near-Earth space. In June, Kononenko will celebrate his 60th birthday in space, and at the end of the annual expedition, his total flight time will be 1,110 days.
Oleg Kononenko is a native of Turkmenistan, where everyone knows him, calling him with pride and love "our Turkmen Gagarin". In September 2019, he was awarded the title Hero of Turkmenistan.
