The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia


On Tuesday, April 9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit at the head of a parliamentary delegation.
During the talks, the parties called meetings at the level of heads of state and government the main factor in deepening relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia and noted the importance of constant contacts at various levels.

At the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the state and prospects of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed, and the fruitful nature of inter-ministerial cooperation and interaction between the countries on international platforms was noted.
The interlocutors appreciated the role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation. The spheres of transport, energy and trade have been identified as promising areas of bilateral cooperation, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
