A concert of academic music dedicated to the anniversary of Magtymguly was held in Moscow

In Moscow, the museum and exhibition complex of the Russian Academy of Arts - Zurab Tsereteli Art Galleries, held a concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen poetry, philosopher and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi.

With this concert, the Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, opened a series of unique creative projects in the Russian capital, dedicated to the anniversary of Magtymguly.

In his welcoming speech to the audience, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev spoke about how widely Turkmenistan celebrates this significant date this year.

The concert was attended by culture and art figures, representatives of the diplomatic corps, heads of state and public organizations of Russia, Turkmen students studying at Russian universities, according to the website of the Turkmen Embassy in Moscow.

Works by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Eduardo Di Capua, Alexandra Pakhmutova, Danatar Ovezov, Nury Halmamedov, Chary Nurymov were performed. Works by the composer Mamed Guseynov, art director of the Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, were also performed.

Opera singer Daria Guseinova, artist of the Moscow musical theater "Helikon- Opera", and Zhanna Sayan, singer, teacher of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva performed at the event.

The concert program, in addition to aesthetic pleasure, gave listeners a reason to once again think about the nature of the captivating power of high art, no matter whether it is the power of the Word or a talented musical statement. The Moscow dedication to Magtymguly became a special event that went beyond the scope of an ordinary concert, revealing yet another evidence of the inextricable spiritual bonds of friendship between Turkmenistan and Russia, the desire for dialogue and co-creation based on great cultural values.
