Erdogan approves cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed a decree approving an intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
The three countries agreed to develop long-term cooperation in various fields, including trade in goods and services, energy, agriculture, food and livestock, construction sector, production of machinery, equipment and materials, mechanical engineering and automotive, chemical industry, textile industry, transport and logistics, financial sector and investments, the official Turkish state newspaper Resmi Gazette reports
In addition, the agreement provides for the development of long-term cooperation in the field of medical services and technology, the pharmaceutical industry, tourism, the development of small and medium-sized businesses, computers, information and communication technologies, the space sector and the aerospace industry. postal services.
The agreement was signed in December 2022 in Turkmenbashi during the first summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey – Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The summit focused on the further development of the trilateral partnership in the economic sphere. Following the talks, Ashgabat, Baku and Ankara signed five trilateral documents on cooperation.
