Turkmenistan gains access to advanced Korean technologies
A significant event took place within the framework of cooperation between «Balkan» Shipbuilding and repairing yard and «Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.»: korean partners transferred their know-how in the field of shipbuilding to the turkmen side.
This marks a new stage in the development of turkmen shipbuilding. The transferred design documentation significantly expands the shipyard’s capabilities, allowing the construction of up to 5 ships per year instead of 4, and also defines new shipbuilding standards in Turkmenistan.
To achieve these goals, the shipyard is actively re-equipping, purchasing new equipment, optimizing production processes and speeding up standards.
Due to Korean technologies and the hard work of Turkmen specialists, the «Balkan» shipyard is reaching a new level. Production capacity is increasing, the quality of ships is improving and the range of products is expanding.
This will not only allow the shipyard to meet the growing demand for ships, but will also open up new export opportunities.
The transfer of Korean know-how confirms Turkmenistan’s desire to integrate into the global shipbuilding community and demonstrates its commitment to the highest standards.
