Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova held a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador Gismet Gezalov on Tuesday.

The diplomats discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of political dialogue between Ashgabat and Baku, the intensification of contacts between foreign ministries, and the expansion of humanitarian and cultural ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the most important aspects of cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The positive dynamics of the development of interstate relations in the trade, fuel and energy, transport and logistics spheres was noted.

The interlocutors paid attention to the participation of Azerbaijani delegates at international events planned this year in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of Magtymguly and the announcement of the city of Anew as the capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
