A meeting with the Armenian Ambassador was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan


The Turkmen Foreign Ministry held a meeting with Armenian Ambassador Ruben Kharazyan on Tuesday. The meeting was held by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov.
The diplomats exchanged views on key aspects of the bilateral partnership, as well as on the agenda of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation this year.
In terms of the development of trade and economic relations, the energy sector was named a priority area. The sides also called for the intensification of cooperation between commercial structures of the two countries and the organization of mutual visits of business delegations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
In addition, attention was paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In this context, the issues of the participation of the Armenian delegation in international events in Turkmenistan dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy were considered. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of developing systemic contacts in the field of education and science.
