New rules for obtaining permits for road transport have been developed in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has developed new rules for obtaining permission for international road transport, the Kazakh online publication Zakon.kz. reports.
The changes were prepared by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic. They apply to Kazakh and foreign carriers who own the following vehicles as property rights or on other legal grounds:
buses, minibuses;
motor vehicles (the allowable total weight of which, including the trailer, is more than 6 tons, or the permitted payload, including the trailer, is more than 3.5 tons);
specialized vehicles (designed to transport certain types of cargo);
special vehicles (designed to perform various, mainly non-transport, work).
The permitting system for the passage of vehicles through the territory of Kazakhstan is determined by law and international treaties on international road transport between the republic and foreign countries.
